Hi there and welcome to Lemon Lane Studio, a place where I post all things creative. Since Lemon Lane Style has switched over to a fashion and style blog I've decided to resurrect my original craft blog and share all things crafty here. I have linked to all the previous craft related posts from Lemon Lane Style just in case there's anything from my previous projects that you'd like to take a look at here...
Anything new coming out of my craft studio will be posted here as well. I have my original "follow" widget on the sidebar if you'd like to know when I post.

Sweet Shoppe
I put together a trio of two cards and a tag with the adorable Sweet Shoppe line by lilybee design.
I used Mojo Monday #293 for my jumping off point.
The bright crisp colors remind me that summer is just around the corner.
If you're free, I'd love to have you join me.

teaching paper crafts
I have been teaching paper crafts and mixed media at my local scrapbook store Hearts n Crafts for a couple of months now and I love it.
It has been slow going trying to establish myself and my style as a teacher but I am willing to be patient and know if I just keep doing what I love I will begin to build that core group that likes what I'm doing, too.
This latest group of cards were with paper that Leeza Gibbons designed for Prima Marketing. I love the color combo and the bold graphics.
It was fun teaching the ladies how to sew on paper. I think they all feel brave enough to give it a try on their own even the ones who don't sew.
My next class will a mixed media layout on Saturday, May 18, 2013.
I have been cleaning out my studio for a couple of days now and somehow it looks worse than when I started. Isn't that always the way!

back again...
I can't believe it's been nearly a year since I posted on this site. It's not that I haven't been in my studio as I certainly have been.
In fact, I have been feeling more free creatively than ever. I think it's more that I wasn't sure I needed a second blog to keep up with and I wasn't sure what direction I wanted this blog to go in.
Not that I'm totally sure now, but I think I have come to a place creatively that I want to journal it through pictures on a daily basis. Kind of a way to keep accountable if only to myself that I will be in my studio creating something every day. It is where I am most true to myself.
I also hope to share more of the nuts and bolts of what I do and what products I'm loving.
If you still have me on your google reader, you can help me keep accountable, too.

in the sewing room again...
I've been spending a lot of time in my sewing room again and it feels wonderful. I will be opening my Etsy shop on June 1st and have been busy making things to stock the shelves.
This little party dress is from an Izzy & Ivy pattern called Macy giggles and it went together like a dream.
I used more of my favorite Riley Blake fabrics and added a cute yo-yo pin embellishment. The dress has been professionally finished and will last a long time.
I am giving one away at my Cottage Home blog. So head on over and leave a comment if you'd like a chance to win.
Thanks for stopping by.
