bedroom redo...done, for now...

I finished my bedroom redo...yeah, for me finishing a project!

I'm actually quite happy with the outcome especially since the whole project only cost me around $70.00.
(I apologize in advance for the poor lighting...it was over cast all day.)
The walls in here are a pale green.

I worked with the major pieces I already owned and did alot of shopping at home.  Opening up cupboards and digging through fabric stashes.

This iron headboard was found at a thrift shop years ago for $20.00.  The pillow out front was a gift from a dear friend...the other two were made from quilt fabric I had in my stash.

This simple valance was from the same quilting fabric stash.

This beautiful quilt was a gift from my mom...the bedspread started the color scheme and was on clearance at Marshalls for $29.00.  I'm sure everyone has one of these little round tables stashed somewhere in their house.  I found a cream tablecloth in the linen closet and made the little topper from more of the quilt fabric stash I found.

Of course, you know this dirty, little dog Bear...If I'm in the bedroom, so is he.  He insisted on being in the pictures...you have no idea how many I had to crop him out of...Ha, ha!

This is my husbands side of the bed...As  you can see, he doesn't like alot of clutter( he likes room for a couple of water bottles at night).  The lampshade ruffle was made with more of that same fabric stash.  The little nightstand was my grandmother's.  It is one of the few family pieces I have and I cherish it.

I found this on clearance at Joannes Fabric for $4.99.  It fits the small space between  the door entrance and closet.

This row of frames is on the wall beside my side of the bed...I wanted something to fill the space but it had to be flush with the wall because the room to walk is quite narrow.  I found all the frames but one stashed in closets...

There you have it...

Onto the next room...

Have a wonderful week.

Patty

It looks amazing! I am not normally a green fan but this soft green is very soothing. I love the quilts. My Mother in Law just gave me the prettiest quilt for Easter. :)

I really like what you have done to your bedroom. Isn't it funny how guys want things simple, no foo foos! Your dog and mind look like twins. Jazi also has to be where I am.
