I had so many plans for today...so much I was hoping to accomplish...
here it is late afternoon and my to do list is mostly undone...
sigh...
Do you every have days like that?
It seems I'm in crisis mode...life has thrown me a few curves this last week. I don't know if that's why my get up and go, has got up and went...
Somehow it seems okay to take a pass on my to do list today and just breathe...
I think I'll just put my feet up a while and enjoy it...
and that's okay.
"Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up...We are pressed on everyside by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies." 2 Corinthians 4: 1, 8-10

I'm sorry to hear you've had a rough week Patty. I think it's perfectly okay if you take a day to just rest and recuperate. Your to-do list will be waiting for you when you feel ready to take it on.
Leisure time is so important. I think its something our society has let fall by the way side. I am glad you allowed yourself some time to unwind and recharge your batteries. May this week go much better for you!
I completely understand the day you are having. I have had the same day today. I had many things on my "to do" list that didn't get "done". I hope everything is well with you. :)
Hugs
Some days I have so much energy and get so much done and others I walk around in circles it seems. That's life!
Hey, I am identifying with the walking around in circles. But, yes, I think it is wonderful that you put your feet up and enjoyed your beautiful magazine.
Rich blessings to you,
Dianne
right there with you... doing nothing can be a good thing... <3
I love a day like you had and the magazine looks wonderful! thanks for stopping by. I will do the polymer clay roses next week. Stay tuned!
Patty,
Hope next week is better for you. We have all been there, for sure. Your magazine looks wonderful!

I"m a doer...mover but learning....slowly..to veg...relax...let go...smell the roses..stop...breathe - it's ok and even necessary...thank you for this post...I needed it.
This is good! I don't admit this to much put I was blogging everyday for hours, reading everybody's decorating ideas and what not. The Lord touched my heart. I limit my blogging now mostly to just Spiritual Sunday, and my house has never been cleaner, my garden is beautiful, and I even helped my husband clean our garage. So enjoy your time reading your magazine, you are worth it.
Blessings,
Ginger
Hi Patty
You know even God took a day to rest. :) I think we're entitled to that every great once in a while! I had my laid back day on Friday..I went to Hobby Lobby with two of my girlfriends...we had a blast! (and I only spent 20bucks) ha ha ha
It's funny that your hubby is a drummer too! It's amazing what we can learn about each other and how much so many of us have in common! Another one of my friends that commented has a drummer hubby too! So funny! I had a good time coming up with that list, I don't think I've thought about me for that length of time in a long time....it was kind of eye opening in a way. There's a lot of stuff I like to do that I don't make time for anymore...guess I should take another day of rest and do them sometime! lol
Love ya
Melissa
A break can rejuvenate us. As Melissa above said, even God took a day off! I was always a go-getter and never could relax. If I did stop for a moment, I would feel guilty. I have learned over the years that rest is good for you and that is when the Lord is most likely to speak to you, when you are quiet. Thanks for sharing this good word.
Blessings,
Sandi
We all have times like this. Thank you for sharing your heart.

I know I have time like this too. I hope today your day is filled with peace! God bless.
I read a take of Philippians 4:13 that could be used here..."I can do all things who Christ who RESTS me." Sometimes we just need that time to rest and recoup....Sorry to hear you had a rough week.
Sorry your week could have been better. I'm trying to learn to relax more myself! Great verses!
Yes, this is a part of life. We all go through it. It's good to share this because it helps others when they have days, weeks or longer like this. And we all need to put our feet up, take a few deep breaths, relax and let go. Offer up a prayer to God for all of His blessings and let His Spirit flood your soul. You will be refreshed! God bless you as you find your peace and joy in Him.
Dearest Patty, ...
I want to thank you for this verse from the Bible...our family is going thru a crisis right now and this verse you recited brought me some peace. I thank you for that....God works thru each of us for the sake of others...you were meant to send this message to my family and myself.
love, bj
Sorry to hear you've been 'down'. Hope you were able to be refreshed on this Lord's Day. I had a difficult week last week, too, but those kind of weeks make good weeks feel like a blessing instead of just the normal ho-hum. May God's grace envelope you!
I have had those momments! I hope you feel better.
Nothing is more relaxing then a beautiful inspiring magazine.
Have a great week
I'm sorry to hear you've been having a bit of a rough time. Years ago, a sweet coworker told me during a really hard time, that God only gives us as much as we are strong enough to handle. It made me feel better, because I thought that God knew I was stronger than I thought I was, and he knows more than I do. I also found a quote that I've shared with my son in the past: When you're going thru hell, keep going. I hope I've been able to help you feel better.
We all need time for renewal. I hope this week goes better for you.
Blessings,
~Myrna
Hi Patty,
I am sorry you have had some curve balls thrown at you in life. I completely understand too! I have had a few thrown as well....but I have learned seriously that is when I draw nearer to my Father. Isn't that the most precious place to be is drawing nearer and nearer to Him? Once you are out of the fire, oh how sweet the relationship!!!!
Thank you so much for your comment and for thinking of me! I appreciate you so much!! :) I am amazed at how much I have become endeared to blogging friends even though we have not met in person! God is good!
Love & Prayers to you!
Carolyn
