front perennial border...

I'm linked up today to Fertilizer Friday...

I had such a good time sneaking into my front perennial border this morning while the neighborhood slept.

It's where I've been spending the majority of my time the last couple of weekends.  It seems that the blessing of two nearly 60 year old California Ash trees has it's disadvantages.

leaves...

and seed pods...

both leave about a million little reminders that need to be either raked or pulled...

They're still worth it...
the structure and shade they provide can't be beat.

The rose bushes are full of buds...

these little dianthus are such hard workers...it seems they bloom 12 months of the year...
I put in a few new delphinium  and a couple of six packs of larkspur,,,

I can't wait to show you what it looks like in another month when everything fills in...

I hope you'll check back.

Digging in the dirt,
Patty

I love the fuzzy blooms under the tree in the second photo. What are those?
I followed Tootsie TIme to your wonderful garden blog. I shared a flaunt today as well.

Happy Spring!

You've got some great gardening going on there. I know exactly what you mean about those shade trees. The maple trees will be dropping their seeds (we call them helicopters) everywhere soon. Can't wait to see more as it grows.

Hi Patty,
Your bed looks full and lush to me already. I look forward to seeing its changes over the season. Larkspur blooms in May here. I love how mine seed themselves around.

I enjoyed reading other posts on your blog, too. I was reading in Safari, which didn't have a space for me to leave a comment on your post about being sidetracked. That's me through and through. I like the way you express your faith in your posts.

Hello Patty!

That's where I have been all day. Working in the yard, pulling weeds, raking leaves out of the beds and beginning to get everything ready for the new growing season.

It is so nice visiting with your. I have perused several of your posts and enjoyed getting to know you a bit. You have a sweet, God-honoring place here.

Loved seeing those precious little grandbabies of yours!

Thank you for stopping by my place and deciding to follow along. I'm so glad you did!
Kindly, ldh
