beach trip...

My sister and nephew are in town from Houston and my parent's treated us to a nice little weekend beach getaway.  Even though the temperatures never made it out of the sixties, we still had a wonderful time just being together.  With five adults and five children under the age of ten, I thought I would have a chance to uncork a bottle of wine and browse through a couple of new magazines...ha! ha!  No such luck, it was non-stop action...a day at the county fair...a late night dip in the hotel pool...too much pizza, way too late in the day and counting heads in the ocean as they ventured out a little too far for my comfort.  I need a little vacation from my mini vacation...

Of course, I did manage to snap a few pictures to share...

Creating family memories for the next generation...a feeling of belonging...new stories to share...safety...security...absolute love...makes it all worth it.  Thanks mom and dad!

Have a wonderful week.

Blessings,
Patty

Hi, Patty,
Glad you have a nice getaway, although I know what you mean about keeping up with the kids. :)

Glad to hear you had such a great time. I am totally jealous you have such beautiful weather. 60's? Seriously? :)

hmmmm, you need to come to our beach in SC where it has been in the high eighties, low 90's and then if you go in land 15 minutes it is in the high 90's! I can't believe it was in the 60's--nice for some things, however!

I bet your sister and nephew enjoyed the cooler weather -- it's been in the mid to high 90's here in the Houston area for ages. I could go for a few days in the 60's right about now, lol! Love the pics, it looks like you had a good vacation. Hope you can get some rest now :-0

Hi Patty!
Wow, 60's...we had temps in the upper 90's last week with a heat index of 104~! It's only in the 80's this week, so much more bearable. :-)
I'm glad you got to get away for a little bit, even if you're tired from your little jaunt! Family time is always more fun than tiring, but we still get tuckered out from all the events.
Hope you have a wonderful week my friend!
Blessings and Hugs

Looks like you all had a wonderful time at the beach, despite the cooler temps. It is sure hot here... up near 100 several days recently. Nothing like family time and some much needed rest and relaxation!!! Love & blessings from NC!

I love county fairs! So many wonderful memories of the Orange and LA county fairs--we never made it to San Diego's though.

I especially love the animals--chickens (of course), sheep and cows :)

Nothing like the beach and family to share it with. Good times.
