Why do we do it...

Why do we do it?  As women...why do we let others influence what we wear...how we decorate...what we think our lives should look like?

Why is it so hard just to be me?

Or you?

We were made distinctly unique for a reason...

Embrace it...

Rejoice in it...

This is your life...right now...live it to it's fullest...warts and all.

Blessings,
Patty

I agree. I wear the clothes I like---in the summer long flowing light skirts---I don't care if it is in--they are comfortable and cool. Same with home colors--I go with what I like ;-).

However...I also don't want to stand out to much or it would draw attention ;-) . I think vintage hats might just be fun to wear....but then everyone might just stare! Not sure that would be goooooood or noooooooooooooot!

Thanks for the reflection. Great post. I have learned more and more as I've gotten older to just be me. I am happy being me now. Have a great day. Becca

Patty,
As we get older that becomes so evident and what a good thing! Your flowers are pretty!

Thank you, I truely needed this today. Yes, we are all unique. It's easy to be kind to others but sometime difficult to pass that on to ourself. On what a pretty yard you have!

Hi Patty, very though provoking post and a good one. I have asked myself the same questions many times. I am very blessed in this area and have always marched to my own drummer. I have never been able to understand why someone would want to be like someone else......?

God made us all different. It surely would be boring if we were all alike.

Patty, you are on for meeting at the Farm Chicks next year. I can guarantee you will be awe struck! Hey, I'll even pick you up at the airport if you want to fly in or fly to Portland and hitch a ride with us! Keep saving those pennies!
