I'm into my last few days of empty nesting and I've survived...
I have to admit I cried a little...
but surprisingly, I also thrived a little, too.
I've enjoyed hanging out with my honey, even if it was just running errands around town.
I have fallen in love with my sewing machine again...
Caught up on some unfinished projects with deadlines looming...
completed two quilt tops...
Got some practice quilting with my wonderful Janome 6600
(a very generous gift from my folks)
got the front porch decorated...
did some organizing of my craft room...
cleaned a little and even rediscovered lunch breaks...
I have to admit I'm excited to have my little guy back but it's good to know that when the time comes...
I'll be okay...
No wait, better than okay...
Thank you all for your encouraging words...they mean the world to me.
Blessings,
Patty

Awwww Patty! You did good, girl! Hugs- Diana
I remember those first few days of no kids coming in anymore. It is hard and different, but will become the norm very soon. It is so good when they come home to visit. How did you know I was stressing? I always do before people come to visit. It is just my son, dil and grands, but then the rest of the family is coming to eat tomorrow night. I know I will be ready, but I always stress right before. I want everything perfect. Have a super weekend.
Ok, Patty, I am posting again. I made typos, I guess the fingers are starting out slow today! Anyway, you will get used to the empty nest in time, but will be glad when they come home, again :)
Hi Patty! I'm sorry you didn't find the Red Rose Farm fabric because I really would like a partner in crime! :) You can always buy it at the Fat Quarter Shop online!
Hi Patty! I wish I could sit with you for a while and enjoy lunch with you, my friend (lunch looks yummy)! I know we would have so much to talk about! Yes, you will survive the empty nest blues...at times you won't think so but you will! It is amazing at how much you get done though without anyone around...that is a huge plus! :D
Love & Hugs to you! Carolyn ~ Cottage Sunshine
Patty,
So glad it is well with you soul...God has a way of taking us through times and situations that will prepare us for the higher mountain or deeper valley ahead. Loved to see what you've done with your time...Love, Elsa
Hi, I hopped on over after your comment on my blog. Thanks for visiting! Empty nesting does take adjustment; I remember. Your porch is absolutely darling; bet you love sitting out there...
