strawberry preserves...

What's that old saying...When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.  I've definitely been having a lemon kinda day.  But instead of lemonade...

I made strawberry preserves...

Aren't these strawberries the cutest?

I found the pattern in Tone Finnager's Sew Pretty Homestyle book...

They were sew easy and sew fun to make.  I'm going to pick up some strawberry essential oil next time I'm out and give these as little package ornaments for Christmas...

I know, I know I said Christmas...

Now that schools back in session you know the holidays are right around the corner.  Have you started thinking about them yet?

You better start soon...
Ho, ho, ho!

Oh-I LOVE those-I have had that pattern (or one just like it) sitting on my sewing table for eons...and always thought I would make them one day. lol I'm glad YOU did because now I can see how cute they really are! I think yours are finished off a little differently on the top than the pattern I have...and I think I like yours better. Lovely!

Remind me to put some tape across my screen when you write the word Christmas again ;>) I don't wanna see that word yet! lol Can we talk about Fall first? huh? Just askin'....Diana

I have to agree with Barb! ADORABLE was the first word on MY mind when I saw your cute little jar of strawberry preserves this morning! I may have to make a jar like this myself sometime! ~tina

I LOVE these! I have looked at that book so many times at the book store. I have debated getting it. At the time I had a horrible sewing machine. Brand new but still had problems. Now I have my mothers and it works like a dream. Maybe I need to reconsider getting it. She has 2 books. Did you know that?
Hugs,
Heather

Hi Patty. Those strawberries are so cute. What a great idea for Christmas gifts. I'm glad your parents are safe, after their scare. I'm sure their guardian angels were on duty that evening. Your little Andrew is such a cutie pie!! Hugs.

I love the strawberries, they are so cute and what a great idea for Christmas which is only 121 days away. How do I know that? I have a counter on my blog at the top that's counting down the days. Time will go by so fast. We all need to get busy and start planning our holidays. This will be the first time in over 40 years that I won't be working and just can't wait to start decorating.
