Be careful what you wish for...

Isn't it funny how you wish and wish and wish for something...

Then it happens and you wonder why you wished for it in the first place?

Having that kind of moment in life right now...

My house is too empty and too quiet...

I wonder why I ever complained about the noise and interruptions...

Just me and hubby for a couple of weeks...
I know I will adjust...

In time.

Patty

Enjoy your time with your hubby. Before you know it, you'll be wishing for some quiet time again, lol.

I know what you mean. Both of my kids are away at college. You do adjust and create new things to occupy your time. But it is always so wonderful when they come home again!!

Life is so funny/sad/weird sometimes, isn't it? All the things we hope and pray for and live to happen..they happen and then we think..well, what now? Who am I now and what is my life going to be like now? Yeah...I get it! Hugs to you...Diana

I can so relate. That is why I don't like being an "empty nester". I love having my children around and all the craziness that comes with having them at home. I don't like a quiet house and I never will. I will just get to look forward to Grandchildren down the road sometime to fill the house with children again!!! Love & blessings from NC!

Hi Patty!

I know exactly what you mean! The teen-age years were so crazy, busy, noisy....and then before I knew it. Oh my! I don't hear a thing but my clocks ticking! When my daughter, Kristen, came back home to live for a period to pay down college tuition debt, I was very delighted! :)

I do have to say though....for several months with a quiet house, I did adapt and came to enjoy it! :)

Hugs to you! Carolyn ~ Cottage Sunshine
P.S. I think I might be "back"! :D Took some time off but I kinda eased back into it and then it was like I was addicted again! :)

I don't even want to think about it. You are so right, patty.. There are moments when I look forward to it just being paul and myself, but with that comes the empty nest and I don't think that I can handle that.
Have a happy Week

Hi Patty,
I have had an empty nest for so long, but it is fun when everybody comes home for a little while with their children. You love to see them come but when they leave you like the quietness again. Never thought I would say that, but with 3 grown kids and 5 grandkids it can be a little noisy sometime.
Hope you have a blessed day and enjoy the quiet time, it won't last long.
