My own Persian Pickle Club...

Thanks to your suggestions and the City Public Library...
I just finished The Persian Pickle Club by Sandra Dallas.

This was my first time reading Sandra Dallas and I love her style of writing and her quirky, small town characters.  It's centered around women and their love of quilting, so how can you go wrong.

The heart of the story centers around a diverse group of women who call themselves the Persian Pickle Club.  They are true friends who, despite their differences, stick with each other through thick and thin...

It made me long for my own Persian Pickle Club...
Who would that be for me?
Who shares my love of crafting...
love of family...
and love of God...
Of course my mom...my sister...my sister's in law and my dear, late mother in law are the first to come to mind...

Then my core group of bible study ladies...
A precious long time friend...
And believe it or not...YOU!`

Don't ever let anyone tell you that online friends are not "real" friends.  They are some of the most encouraging, prayerful, funny, loyal and generous bunch of women out there...

Speaking a Persian Pickles and quilting...
this is my block exchange weekend with my mom and sister in law...

We each have 12 of these snowball squares to exchange.
I'm so excited...
The only requirement was the size and the fabrics must be reproduction...I'll be sure to share my stash with you on Monday.

I'd love to hear who's in your Persian Pickle Club?

Have a wonderful weekend from your fellow Pickle,
Patty

Oh-I have some wonderful Persian Pickles in my group...some wonderful OLD friends (Well THEY don't think they're old...but they are)...and some beautiful younger friends...and I have found some wonderful true friends online. Who would have ever thought that would happen? I kind of like the way your name goes with that...Patty Pickle! Hugs- Diana

That book sounds good. I want to read it. I love to quilt, so I would love to be in your Persian Pickle group. I used to be in a quilting group that met on Mondays. We quilted all day together and we shared lunch with each other too. We had the best time talking and quilting. When I had my cancer diagnosis 7 years ago, these sweet ladies and 1 man, made a gorgeous quilt for me and brought it out to me while I was recovering. I cherish that quilt! They told me it was for me to snuggle up under while I was getting well. Love & blessings from NC!

Currently I do not have a club like that, but believe me, I sure long for one. :o) The kind ladies I have met through blogging have been some of the dearest. :o)
It blesses me to get to know you better too.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
