facing facts...

You know that little project I started on Friday night?  That brief moment of insanity that suggested I do a little reorganizing of my craftroom.  Well here it is Tuesday evening and I'm still folding fabric and sorting craft supplies.

I've come face to face with it ladies...

Yep, there's no denying it...

The proof is everywhere I look...

It's official and it ain't pretty...

I. am. a. hoarder.

There, I said it out loud.  Isn't that the first step to recovery?

No more buying stuff...I mean it, I'm through.  I have enough supplies to craft away till the cows come home and back again.

All kidding aside...Is there a support group for this?

Excessively yours,
Patty

My husband is a hoarder and I am a tosser. Makes for some occasional tension :)

Lately I have been cleaning out and organizing. I think it is because I am getting older and I am expecting my first grandchild soon.
Good luck with organizing and there is a hoader group you can joy. It is called "Crafts Anonymous". LOL.

Bren

I had to chuckle as I read this. While I don't have a problem with crafting supplies, I do find it a constant challenge as to what is donated to the thrift shops and what comes home from the same shops. I sometimes worry that I am getting close to being a candidate for the hoarders show on tv. But it sure is fun, isn't it?

I am right there with you!! And I even have a basement that is jammed packed full of fabric and craft supplies. I am in that hoarder group too, so don't feel bad. Remember that saying... he who dies with the most fabric, wins!!! I am winning and it sounds like you are too. LOL! We have to have something to do, don't we? I'll get around to using it someday. Yea, right!!! Enjoy your cleaning. I am doing the same thing here. Love & blessings from NC!

I understand exactly what you're saying - I have been trying to follow a fabric reduction program for the past year and it ain't working! I get so overwhelmed with all my things I don't even know where to begin to use them up. Someone asked me once whether I called my room a Sewing Room, Studio, or Craft Room. I said I call it a Stock Room. Sad but true.

If you are a hoarder, I would say you are a very neat one, look how pretty and tidy your room looks, I enjoy when you share the pictures of your home and garden.
Thanks for your sweet comment!

It's called 'neat hoarder' actually, lol. I did a video on You tube awhile back stating the same thing as you...

I do know if I do not keep on eye on myself, it could easily get out of control.

I've been really working on watching how much I get when I go yard saling each week. Also when I bring something in the home, I make sure to go through the house and find items to give away to friends, or Redeemer Goods shop...

loved the pictures you shared.

No, your not a horder, your a crafter, there is a difference! I have to admit I have had the same thought about my craft room..I am not capable of passing up vintage lace, cards, linen, fabric, buttons etc, etc, etc!!!

Me too!!! I am such a hoarder but I like to think I am a crafter and collector!.......lol. My partner is the opposite. My clothes too bulging out of the wardrobes and cupboards!! Lovely photos.
Enjoy your day.

What a cute little corner. It doesn't look like a hoarder lives there to me.

Well, at least it looks like a hoarder of pretty things.

I know you said all kidding aside, but I had to laugh at your post. Really at myself more than you. I too am a self professed craft supply collector. When my fiance Glenn heard me say this he quickly corrected me and said that they call that a hoarder. I have to argue because hoarders keep things that are of no value and can be hazardous to your health. My craft supplies are very valuable if even to just me and they improve my mental health considerably. I will stick with collector...

I came by today to introduce myself. My name is Sherry and I have joined the Bloggerette Sorority. I have only been blogging for almost 30 days so I missed the Rush, but I look forward to taking part in future events. I would be honored if you would like to come by for a visit at http://scrappingwithsherry1.blogspot.com/ Hope to see you there!

Take Care~ Sherry
