Wow, can you believe it's September?
The days are shorter, there's a little nip in the night air and the pumpkins are beginning to take residence on porches all over town...

I know I said it about Spring...
but this is my favorite time of the year.
Remember these vine pumpkins?

Remember these vine pumpkins?
I had some time to play this weekend and turned them into these...
The "clay" pots are painted paper mache that I picked up on clearance for 34 cents each...
I started with a dark green base coat and just started adding color until I got the "patina" I was after...
I added scrapbook paper and a little distressing to the paper stars, finished them off with a button and hot glued them to the side...
I can't decide whether I like this burlap one with the Harvest banner...
or this one with the pretty floral fabric...
I think they'll make a pretty focal point to a harvest centerpiece...
I have a few more things started that I hope to share later in the week.
Till then...
Happy Hump Day,
Patty

Good Morning Patty Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share this morning. I have got to tell you these are so darn cute. I love them. I really like the burlap, as country is my favorite, but the other one with the fabric, it is so cute too. Who would have thought? I love the little banners and the stars too. A precious accent. LOVE IT, and I thank you sweet friend for sharing with me this morning. Such a wonderful share, and gave me an idea or two to throw about.
Now I want to know why you all are feeling a little nip in the evening air, and here in Phoenix, all I am feeling is still triple digit temps. Somehow I think we have gotten the short end of the stick. Could you bottle some of the lovlieness up and ship it this way?
Have a beautiful day sweetie. Country hugs, Sherry
Those are just too cute! :) Can't wait for some cooler day temps...it's supposed to be in the upper 70's here all three days of our holiday weekend...woo hoo! I want to go get pumpkins, corn stalks, bales of hay and mums, but I'm afraid my neighbors will think I'm pushing the season a bit....but it's September already! :)
You're right about sending little gifts, you never know who we're going to touch...Deborah really made my day. :)
Love you my friend and I hope you have a wonderful three day weekend!
Hugs

They look great!!! I can't wait to see pumpkins. I made a new fall wreath for my front door tonight, think I'll put it up next week. Wooohoooo.
You did a great job on those! What fun! I like them all but adore the one with the burlap and the star! Oh...how I need to get busy! Diana
These are adorable. I love them!! Great job. Thanks for the inspiration. I need to get with it on my fall decorating items. Love & blessings from NC!
Thanks for asking about the storm. I live far enough inland that we did not even get any rain. The Outer Banks got some rain and wind, but it was not nearly as bad as they thought it could have been. I am so thankful for that. Today the sun is out and it is going to be a gorgeous weekend. Enjoy your holiday. Love & blessings from NC!
Oh my, this is lovely! I've been looking for ideas for fall and this one's going to the top of the list. Really cute!
